Ready to take your first exam?
a) Please click

FCC webpage link and get an FCC FRN number.
The FCC comunicates through an FCC Registration Number (FRN). Having
your assigned FRN, when you arrive for testing, will be a big help.
Please register with the FCC, print and bring your FRN with you.
b) You will need to have two (2) forms of ID. One of which must be a
picture ID, such as a passport or drivers license.
c) The cost of the examination is $12.00. Exact change is very helpful
and appreciated. The simple per session fee will allow you to take
multiple exams in one sitting. For example, if you pass the element
2 (technician exam), there is no additional cost for taking the element
3 (general exam) during that same session (time permitting). It is
possible to take all three exams
(technician through extra) in one single test session for your exam
session fee of $12.00. Returning to retake an exam or take a
subsequenct license class exam, at a future testing date, does require
payment of an additonal examination fee of $12.00.
d) A couple of #2 pencils will be helpful.
e) Print and fill out an
FCC form 605
